Society representatives, to determine which structures (and items stored in the structures) should be <br />retained for historic purposes, or removed by TPL and the Kroegels prior to closing. <br />The proposed Agreement allows the County, under its due diligence review, to address the described <br />issues relating to parcel size, easements and structures. If county staff finds that these issues cannot be <br />adequately resolve prior to the due diligence review deadline of May 20, the County will have the option <br />to terminate the Agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached Agreement and <br />authorize the Board Chairman to execute the Agreement on behalf of the County. Staff also recommends <br />that the Board authorize staff to conduct a due diligence review. Staff recommends that, if the due <br />diligence review finds that the herein described issues have been adequately addressed in favor of the <br />County, the Board authorize staff to take steps as necessary to close the purchase using environmental <br />land bond funds. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1.
