• • <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The County is currently beginning the second year of a three-year <br />✓ esearch study on fish populations on the artificial reefs built <br />o ffshore of Sebastian Inlet in the summer of 2000. This years <br />✓ esearch effort is 100% funded, on a cost reimbursement basis, by <br />the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWCC) under <br />Grant # FWCC-01194, in the amount of $15,000. Florida Institute of <br />Technology (FIT) was selected as the contractor for the first year <br />o f the study. In the interests of continuity of personnel and <br />consistency of data collection, FWCC has approved FIT as the sole <br />source vendor for year 2 of the pro]ect. Staff has negotiated a <br />contract with FIT for year 2 of the project in the amount of <br />$12,500. <br />RECOMMEENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends execution of the contract with Florida Institute <br />of Technology.
