They would also have to furnish certificates of insurance <br />and deal with the Dodgers on parking, ticket takers, security, and cleanup. <br />Administrator Chandler responded that all those responsibilities are the County's, so <br />we would have to see that the event sponsor would furnish all those things. <br />Vice Chairman Ginn wanted a provision that if alcohol is found they would not be <br />allowed back. <br />Commissioner Neuberger thought non -profits, especially the Boys & Girls Club, <br />would be the right way to go. <br />MO'I,ION WAS MADE by Commissioner Neuberger, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lowther, to approve the request <br />of the Boys & Girls Club. <br />Under discussion, Vice Chairman Ginn could not agree until the policy is set out and <br />a written agreement was signed. <br />Commissioner Adams believed there was plenty of time for a policy to be developed. <br />Chairman Macht suggested the motion be to give authority to staff to work on that <br />approval and to develop a policy. <br />Mr. Jay ,McNamara, representing the Boys & Girls Club, advised that the Dodgers <br />are amenable to this and they have had other events where there has been no alcohol and it <br />is consistent with children's events that there not be alcohol. The only issue he had was that <br />in order to have big name talent and deal with the Dodgers, they need to have some lead <br />time. They would like to set a date so it would be helpful to them to have an approval, <br />June 10, 2003 <br />24 <br />
