<br /> addressed his requests to investigate the bathroom provisions made by his neighbor and a
<br /> hole that was dug on the property . He also believed his neighbor was living in the pole barn .
<br /> ' Administrator Chandler reported he met the previous Friday with Mr . Steele and

<br /> Community Development Director Robert M . Keating . Two questions were being pursued
<br /> and the investigation has not yet been finalized . Concerning the question of waste
<br /> generation , Mr . Schuessler from the Health Department has been out there, performed tests ,
<br /> and found no contamination . Thereis a septic tank to serve a new home and a line has been
<br /> run from the pole barn to that septic tank and a lift station or pump has been installed . He
<br /> understood that was approved by the Health Department for a washing machine in the pole
<br /> ' barn . The neighbor had pulled an after- the- factlumbin
<br /> P g permit which has not been closed
<br /> out because there has not been a call for a final inspection . Our plumbing inspector will be
<br /> going out to determine if a bathroom exists in the pole barn and if it is tied in properly to the
<br /> septic tank. The plumbing inspector went out the day before the meeting ; but the gate was
<br /> x �
<br /> locked so the property owner was left a notice that an inspection is to be made . It appears
<br /> that the neighbor has been living in the pole barn , however, tangible documentation is
<br /> necessary in order for it to be presented to the Code Enforcement Board ; staff is pursuing
<br /> that documentation . Mr . Steele will meet with Mr . Keating to go through the video to
<br /> determine if it can be used to substantiate whether someone is living there or not .
<br /> Mr. Steele appreciated Administrator Chandler ' s assistance in trying to resolve this
<br /> quickly . He was also concerned that the pole barn might be turned into an apartment later
<br /> as a rental property . The house septic tank ' s inability to accommodate waste for another
<br /> dwelling could be another issue . He stressed the importance of time .
<br /> Chairman Ginn was disturbed this had to be brought to the Board ' s attention , and was
<br /> not handled by staff.
