<br /> He looked forward to ne \Nefforts in zoning to help economic growth through ne «�
<br /> businesses . He was pleased with Sheriff Roy Raymond ' s open - door policy and was looking
<br /> forward to working with him . He hoped the Master Plan would serve as a tool and an
<br /> effective compilation of data to aid the County . The Civic League will solicit and coordinate
<br /> support resources from the Gifford citizens . He thanked the Board for allowing him to come
<br /> before them to share the concerns .
<br /> Commissioner Macht suggested a meeting be scheduled with General Services
<br /> Director Thomas W . Frame , Main Library Director Mary Powell , himself, and a designee
<br /> from the Progressive Civic League to discuss the branch library in Gifford . Other
<br /> Commissioners agreed this was a good suggestion .
<br /> Vice Chairman Stanbridge thought Director Frame would soon be coming to the
<br /> Board with some available land for the clinic and she hoped Governor Jeb Bush would not
<br /> cut the '/2 million dollars from the budget . A lot of work has been done with the Small Area
<br /> Plan which will be used for other communities in the county . She thought the Gifford
<br /> community might be the next Front Porch Florida Community which would bring other
<br /> opportunities . The Progressive Civic League has done an excellent job in coordinating all
<br /> this work and actually going house - to - house to complete the survey work . Health
<br /> Department Administrator Jean Kline did an excellent survey on social services which will
<br /> be part of the documentation . The Small Area Plan identifies Gifford as an important part
<br /> of Indian River County . � �
<br /> Mr . Woolfork credited the many citizens who have helped tremendously in the effort .
<br /> He offered the Commissioners a copy of the video of properties taken during their survey .
<br /> The League has been working cooperatively with everyone who has helped in this effort and
<br /> he credited Vice Chairman Stanbridge as being their " drum majorette " . Indian River
<br /> Community College has been another driving force in working with them . He thanked Ms .
