<br /> Gifford Progressive Civic League President A . J . Harris , Board member Victor Hart , Sr . , and
<br /> Penny Chandler from the Chamber of Commerce were also present . Eight years ago he had
<br /> presented the Gifford Master Plan to the Board . It was now time for an update . He read the
<br /> Introduction from the Master Plan and presented a comprehensive review of the document
<br /> in the backup . ( Clerk ' s Note : It is suggested that the backup be used as part of these
<br /> minutes . ) He reviewed the recommendations in full . He advised that a grand opening of the
<br /> Gifford Aquatic Center is planned for July 14 " and everyone was invited "to take a splash

<br /> at Gifford Beach " . He stressed the importance of home ownership in Gifford . He hoped
<br /> the library ' s beautiful facility would soon be supplied . He credited the Code Enforcement
<br /> Department for their help . He explained the "windshield survey " and the suggestion by
<br /> Long- Range Planning Chief Sasan Rohani to do another, which has just been completed and
<br /> handed over to Lincoln Walther who is working with the Civic League on the Front Porch
<br /> Florida program . A new location is being sought for the health clinic . He hoped the public
<br /> safety issues (previous week ' s Board agenda) would soon be resolved . He spoke about the
<br /> need for more street lighting and traffic signals and talked of recent corrections to drainage .
