Chairman Stanbridge questioned whether there are grant opportunities in that area, <br />and Director Davis noted that they are not as prevalent as stormwater grants but staff will <br />certainly investigate that possibility. <br />Commissioner Adams questioned whether staff would be able to give the residents <br />some assistance in the meantime, such as using graders in the area, although she knew that <br />93rd and 95`h Streets could not be properly maintained because of the location of the utility <br />poles and trees. <br />Director Davis was reluctant to put the County in the position of accepting <br />responsibility for these substandard roads. <br />Commissioner Macht felt that time should be given to Director Davis to allow him <br />to investigate the situation before making any decisions. <br />JULY 16, 2002 <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and <br />the motion passed unanimously. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously instructed staff to bring a report to the <br />Board on the impact this project would have on the <br />Public Works Department to include finances, <br />personnel and equipment, to fund improvements of <br />the roads in the northwest section of the County. <br />-92- <br />377 <br />
