Frame, General Services Director <br />Final Payment and Release of Retainage - Chilberg Construction Co., Inc., <br />Evidence Storage <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Attached, please find a request for final payment and release of remaining retainage From <br />Chilberg Construction Company, Inc., for the Sheriffs Evidence Storage Addition. Along with <br />that request is an approved final pay certification from the architects of record, Dow -Howell - <br />Gilmore. <br />A11 work on the evidence storage area, including the installation of the bulletproof glass for the <br />911 center, has been completed satisfactorily. The final payment including the release of all <br />remaining retainage is $12 269. <br />RE C OIVIIVIENDATION: <br />Based on the issuance of the Certificate of Substantial Completion and certification of the <br />request for payment by the Architect (Dow -Howell), completion of all work including punch -list <br />along with submittal of final releases of liens staff recommends approval of $12,269 representing <br />final payment and release of all retainage. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Tippin, the Board, by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Macht absent) unanimously <br />approved final payment and release of all retainage <br />in the amount of $12,269, as recommended by staff. <br />• <br />JULY 2, 2002 <br />4 <br />I <br />7) <br />-79- <br />
