In January 1995, the Board approved revisions to Chapter 104, which allows for <br />Commission approval of such events on a case by case basis. Section 104.06 (5)(b)(8) <br />states "The prohibitions enumerated in paragraph (a) and (c) of this section do not apply <br />in the situations enumerated below. ...Local outings offered to all county employees or <br />with prior approval of the Board of County Commissioners, units of county employees." <br />Emergency Services employees have participated in the event for several years after <br />receiving approval from the Board of County Commissioners. The golf outing was not held <br />in 1999 due to construction/renovation of the golf facilities. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff respectfully requests favorable consideration by the Board of the invitation from <br />John's Island Club for Emergency Services stair to participate in the golf outing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously approved the <br />participation of Emergency Services staff in the golf outing, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 2002 22 <br />to ' 1 <br />
