After FDOT District 4 staff review, all projects were found to be eligible for enhancement funding. <br />Staff has setup a Local Agency Project (LAP) Agreement in which the Agency (Indian River <br />County) agrees to design and construct an FDOT approved project and the FDOT agrees to <br />reimburse the Agency after its completion. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends the Board approve the attached LAP agreement and authorize the Chairman to <br />execute the same for construction of the Indian River Drive Bikepath listed in the Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1. Map of Project Area. <br />Chairman Stanbridge inquired about the time frame for the construction of the bike <br />path on Indian River Drive. <br />Public Works Director James Davis advised that this project is eligible under FDOT's <br />enhancement cycle; there is no funding allocated for the current year. Funding <br />implementation will come under the FDOT five-year plan. He called on a member of his <br />staff to give additional details. <br />County Engineer Chris Kafer advised we are getting close to design completion and <br />will be going for permitting shortly.
