The Contract (Master Agreement) included as Attachment-A establishes the contractual relationship <br /> between Indian River County and PBS&J. Agreement Addendum No . 1 included, as Attachment-B authorize <br /> PBS&J to proceed to update and consolidate the 1993 master plan prepared by Brown & Caldwell , Inc . for the <br /> lump sum fee of $ 171 ,600 . 00. <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION: <br /> The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br /> authorize the attached Master Agreement and Agreement Addendum No . 1 Master Utility Plan Update services <br /> in the amount of $ 171 ,600 . 00 and authorize the Chairman to execute same, as presented. <br /> LIST OF ATTACHMENTS : <br /> Attachment-A Master Agreement for Master Utility Plan Update, PBS &J Inc . <br /> Attachment-B PBS&J Inc . , Professional Service Agreement Addendum No. 1 . <br /> ACCOUNT INFORMATION : <br /> Account No : 472-000 - 169- 370 . 00 Account Name : Capacity Charge Fund Amount: $ 171 ,600 . 00 <br /> MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Stanbridge , <br /> SECONDED by Commissioner Adams , to approve staff' s <br /> recommendation . <br /> In response to Chairman Ginn ' s questions , Utilities Department Interim Assistant <br /> Director Steve Doyle advised this project is being done in phases because staff is trying to <br /> do some of the work in - house and the first phase will cost $ 171 , 600 . The anticipated total <br /> is in the $ 280 , 000 range for the Master Plan . <br /> Chairman Ginn noted that this had not been considered by the Utilities Advisory <br /> Committee (UAC ) and thought it should be . She also noticed the completion time and asked <br /> if it would really take a year and a half to complete . <br /> Mr . Doyle explained the time took into consideration allowing County staff to do their <br /> work on this project as well as PBS &J .
