Sexually Transmitted Diseases <br />Table 39 shows the sexually transmitted disease (STD) rate in Florida and Indian River County for <br />those 15-19 from 2010 through 2013. The bacterial STDs include: Chancroid, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, <br />Granuloma inguinale, Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV) and Syphilis. Though the state's rate per <br />1,000 has been on a consistent downward trend during this period, the rates in Indian River County <br />have fluctuated a bit, but have decreased over the past couple of years and have also been lower than <br />Florida's rates during this same time.
