Vaccine Preventable Diseases <br />According to the CDC, vaccine -targeted age groups include children who are Tess 5 years old, adults <br />over the age of 65, pregnant women and women 2 weeks postpartum. Table 40 shows the numbers <br />and rates of vaccine preventable diseases for vaccine -targeted age groups in Indian River County and <br />Florida from 2009 through 2012. During this time, Indian River's rate of immunized kindergarteners <br />ranged from the lowest (89.4%) in 2010 to the highest (95.1(1/0) in 2012.
