• <br />• <br />9 Sullivan Corp. are -Ocm <br />GENERAL CONTRACTOR <br />F <br />December 9-2013 <br />Mr. Raj Singh <br />Atkins <br />482 S Keller Road • <br />Orlando, FL 32810-6101 1/2• <br />Re: West Regional WWTP <br />Clarifiers Rehabilitation PCO No. 04B <br />Dear Rai, <br />Our painting and electrical subcontractors and metals fabricator have revised their <br />quotations to us for the referenced work Therefore, we are submitting the following <br />revised proposal for your consideration. <br />We propose to remove the existing interconnecting access walkway between Clarifier <br />#1 & Clarifier #2 and replace it with a new aluminum walkway as shown in your <br />attached sketch and as described in the attached quotation from Ducie Metals. We <br />exclude draining and cleaning of the clarifiers We understand that the County will have <br />the tanks emptied before we begin work. No engineering is included in this quotation. <br />.The new walkway will sit on new fabricated base plates and attach with new 316SS <br />fasteners per attached e-mail from The Crom Corporation. At your request, we have <br />included a $300.00 allowance to repair the crack where the existing bridge is bolted to • <br />the wall of Clarifier #1. The new walkway will utilize the existing grating, handrail and <br />light fixture. Theexisting stairs willalso be reused and notched to fit the new aluminum <br />bridge. The electrical wire will be disconnected and pulled from the conduit for reuse <br />The existing PVC coated steel conduit on the bridge will be removed and replaced with <br />aluminum conduit. The existing PVC water lines will be removed and replaced with new <br />PVC piping on the new bridge. <br />The clarifier mechanisms will be sand blasted to an SP -10 Near White Metal Blast to <br />remove the existing coatings. The mechanism can then be inspected to determine if <br />repairs to the steel components need to be made. No steel repair is included in this <br />proposal. The mechanism will then be recoated with a Tnemec system as described in <br />the attached proposal from Exceletech Coating & Applications, LLC. The existing brass <br />squeegees will be removed for painting and reinstalled after painting.
