Coastal Engineer James Gray gave a brief background on the <br />Sector 5 Beach Restoration Project and recommended the <br />Board support the Beach and Shore Preservation Advisory <br />Committee's March 21, 2016 motion to approve the contract <br />with CB&I Coastal Planning and Engineering, Inc. He pointed <br />out that all of the funds were budgeted for the Sector 5 Beach <br />Restoration Project. <br />The Board sought and received information from Coastal <br />Engineer Gray on the Pep Reef, the near shore hard bottom, <br />and the estimated life of the Sector 5 Beach Restoration Project. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Flescher, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Zorc, the Board unanimously approved Work <br />Order No. 12 to the contract with CB&I Coastal Planning and <br />Engineering, Inc., and authorized the Chairman to execute <br />same on the Work Order on behalf of the County. <br />G. Utilities Services <br />None <br />13. COUNTY ATTORNEY MATTERS <br />1:48 A. Demolition Lien <br />p.m. (memorandum dated March 18, 2016) 205-208 <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Deputy County Attorney Bill Debraal stated that Connie Clark is the <br />owner of the dilapidated structure located at 4481 and 4485 25" <br />Avenue, and that the total demolition lien cost is $4,404.42. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Flescher, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner O'Bryan, the Board unanimously approved the lien in <br />the amount of $4,404.42, and authorized the Chairman to execute the <br />lien for recordation in the public records. <br />1:49 B. Report on Potential County -Owned Surplus Properties <br />p.m. (memorandum dated April 4, 2016) 209-240 <br />County Attorney Dylan Reingold reported on Potential County -Owned <br />Surplus Properties and sought guidance from the Board on how to <br />proceed. <br />Tracking Station Property <br />Attorney Reingold gave a brief history of the triangle portion of the <br />Tracking Station Property which was obtained from the United States <br />in August 1970 to be utilized and maintained as "a public park and <br />recreation purposes". <br />i <br />Board of County Commission Minutes Page 12 <br />April 12, 2016 <br />
