Public Works Director Chris Mora stated that Ms. Schnee was willing <br />to sell the property to the County in the amount of $112,000 for the <br />entire 10.64 acre parcel. The only condition requested by Ms. Schnee <br />was that the property be kept in its current condition as Scrub Jay <br />Habitat. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Davis, to approve the Agreement for Purchase of <br />Scrub Jay Property with Jane Schnee for 10.64 acres at 2050 Barber <br />Street and authorize the Chairman to execute the said contract. <br />Commissioner O'Bryan suggested that the site be designated as the <br />Schnee Family Scrub, or other name reflective of Jane Schnee's <br />commitment in preserving the property. <br />MOTION WAS AMENDED by Commissioner O'Bryan, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Davis, to authorize staff to reach out <br />to Ms. Schnee regarding the re -naming of the parcel to the Schnee <br />Family Scrub. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the Amended Motion <br />carried unanimously to: (1) approve the Agreement for Purchase of <br />Scrub Jay Property with Jane Schnee and authorize the Chairman to <br />execute the said contract; and (2) authorize staff to reach out to Ms. <br />Schnee regarding the re -naming of the parcel to recognize her <br />commitment in preserving the property. <br />9.
