353 <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 29155, -Laws of Florida, Acts of 1953, requir.es the approval <br />of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, of any proposed plat <br />of lands in Indian River County, Florida, outside the .limits of any municipality; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Act authorizes the Board of County Commissioners to adopt rules <br />.and regulations pertaining to the platting of lands in Indian River County, Florida; Now, <br />• <br />1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />0 <br />and regulations. <br />2. Any and all streets or roads shown upon any plat shall have a right of way <br />of not less than the building setback line, if such a building setback line has been e,stab- <br />lished by this Board for the road, street or highway upon.which the platted lands abut. <br />3. All public roads shown or proposed upon the County system of existing and <br />proposed public roads shall have a right of way width not less than that shown or proposed <br />upon the County plan of public roads. <br />4. The right of way for State Road 5 from the South City Limits of the City <br />of Vero Beach to the South County Line shall be. the right of way set forth and contained in <br />the right of way map of the State Road Department of the State of Florida, Section 8801-150-191-206, <br />which said right of way map is recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of <br />Indian River County, Florida, in Plat Book 3, page 26. The right of way for the remainder of <br />State Road 5 through Indian River County shall be 120 feet. <br />5. The right of way for State Road AIA shall be 100 feet, that is, 50 feet on <br />either side of the present existing center line of said road from the South City-Lirpits of <br />the City of Vero Beach to the South County Line. The right of way for said road from the North <br />City Limits of the City of Vero Beach to the North Limits of Indian River County shall be <br />100 feet, that is, 50 feet on either side of the center line as it exists on the ground of <br />the proposed realigning, widening and extension of said road. <br />6. The right of way for State Road 60 shall be 100 feet, that is, 50 feet on <br />either side of the center line of said road as the same now exists. <br />7. The right of way for State Road 512 shall be 100 feet, that is, 50 feet <br />on either side of the center line of said road as the same now exists. <br />8. All other streets, roads and highways shall have a right of way width of <br />not less than 70 feet. <br />9. No block shall exceed 660 feet in length. <br />10. All streets, highways or roads shall be laid out so that they will be con- <br />tinuations of existing streets, highways or roads or extensions of proposed st-reets, highways <br />or roads. <br />11. All,streets, highways or roads shall be laid out 'to the adjoining property <br />, and shall not be blocked by lots or otherwise aid no blind or dead-end streets, roads or high- <br />ways shall be laid out. <br />12. Where any.street is curved, the curves therein shall be long, easy curves <br />well laid out and no setoffs or abrupt, reverse curves shall be allowed. <br />13. The rear of all lots shall have an alley of not less than 15 feet in width <br />or a 10 foot easement shall be reserved along the rear of abutting lots for public utilities. <br />therefore, <br />BE <br />IT RESOLVED by Board County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, <br />the of <br />Florida, that <br />this <br />Board does herewith adopt the following <br />rules and regulations ,under the <br />authority of <br />said <br />Act, to -wit: <br />1.. <br />No plat or map depicting t -he division or <br />subdivision of lands in Indian <br />River County, <br />Florida, <br />shall be approved.or recorded in the <br />public records of said County <br />except pursuant <br />to <br />Chapter 29155, Laws of Florida, Acts of <br />1953, and pursuant to these rules <br />• <br />1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />0 <br />and regulations. <br />2.
