She told the Board that the Environmental <br /> Protection Agency (EPA) plans to provide assistance in the form a of a feasibility study <br /> (performed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory) for communities that want to <br /> incorporate renewable resources on their contaminated sites , and asked if the Commissioners <br /> wished to participate in the program . She acknowledged that there was a short lead time on this <br /> item , that the application was due on Friday May 20 , 2011 , and that the feasibility study would <br /> cost 10 to 12 hours of Geosyntec ' s time . <br /> Commissioners Davis and O ' Bryan were reluctant to take action without additional <br /> information and on such short notice . <br /> Director Mehta emphasized that lie had wished to advise the Board about the possibility <br /> of ultimately converting the subject site into a beneficial use site for the community . <br /> Ms . Weeks added that hopefully , in the future , there would be time to provide sufficient <br /> information to the Board regarding other opportunities for redevelopment of the old Gifford <br /> Road Landfill site .
