<br />Upon Motion of Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and
<br />carried, the Board authorized expenditure of $400.00 from the Capital Outlay Fund for an
<br />Commissioner Waddell introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption,
<br />to -wit:
<br />RESOLVED that the Vero Beach Press -Journal is herewith selected and designated
<br />as the newspaper in which shall be published the list of lands offered for sale by the County
<br />Tax Collector for non-payment of Taxes on such lands and the list of delinquent In.tangi.ble
<br />personal property Taxpayers and the notice setting forth the names of delinquent Tangible
<br />personal property taxpayers and all other notices, lists and publications to be published in
<br />a newspaper designated or selected, by this Board; That it is herewith found and determined by
<br />this Board that said newspaper meets and fulfills all requirements of law in.order that such
<br />newspaper may be selected and designated as is herewith done; That it is herewith found and
<br />determined by this Board that said, The Vero Beach Press -Journal, is a newspaper of general
<br />circulation published in Indian River County, Florida, and has been continuously so published
<br />for a period of more than one .year prior to this date; that said newspaper be designated for
<br />publication of ,such other legal notice that may be required as designation by said Board
<br />of County Commissioners.
<br />Motion for the adoption of the Resolution was seconded by Commissioner Hamilton
<br />and unanimously carried.
<br />• There being no further business, on Motion made, seconded and carried, the
<br />Board then adjourned.

<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met at the
<br />Court House in regular meeting at 9:00•o'c.lock i�. M. Tuesday, March 2, 1954, with the follow-
<br />ing members present: Commissioners W. C. Graves, Jr., Chairman; Aubrey L. Waddell, J. J. P.
<br />Hamilton, H. C. Watts and Allison Marren. Also present were E. E. Carter, Road G Bridge
<br />addition or lean-to to be used as an office at the County Jail.
<br />Chairman Graves, appointed a committee consisting
<br />of himself, Commissioner
<br />Warren, S.
<br />N. Smith, Jr., Attorney and Douglas Baker, Clerk, to
<br />determine ways and means of
<br />obtaining
<br />additional space for the Tax Assessor and Clerk's offices.
<br />Notary Public Bond for E. G. Thatcher in the sum
<br />of $500.00 with Massachusetts
<br />Bonding &:Insurance
<br />Company as surety was approved February 12,
<br />1954 by Douglas Baker, Clerk
<br />of Circuit
<br />Court, as provided by law.
