SECTION 2B - IRRIGATION SYSTEM <br /> ' PART I - GENERAL <br /> 1 . DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> A. Work included: This Section is part of the entire set of contract documents and <br /> ' shall be coordinated with the applicable provisions of the other parts. <br /> B . The extent of landscape irrigation system is shown on the drawings. Completion <br /> of this work shall mean full and exact compliance and conformity with the <br /> provisions expressed or implied in the drawings, schedules and specifications . <br /> Irrigation installer is not relieved of his responsibility to provide proper irrigation <br /> coverage by providing full and exact compliance with the drawings and <br /> specifications. If field conditions or other unforeseen factors warrant that design <br /> modifications are necessary, irrigation installer shall notify Landscape Architect <br /> immediately. <br /> C . The work under this section includes furnishing and installing materials to <br /> construct an automatic irrigation system and maintaining that system until final <br /> completion and acceptance, but not less than 30 days from date of installation, and <br /> any other work as called for on the plans and in these specifications . <br /> r2 . RELATED WORK <br /> A. Electrical service to pump and controller shall be provided by others under <br /> ' separate contract with Owner, in compliance with N. E . C . requirements . <br /> B . Site work (rough grading) . <br /> ' C . Landscaping (see landscape specifications) . <br /> 3 . QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Landscape irrigation system installation shall only be performed by a firm that is <br /> ' regularly engaged full time in the installation of underground landscape irrigation <br /> systems . (Crews shall be controlled and directed by a foreman who is thoroughly <br /> familiar with the type of materials being installed and the manufacturer's <br /> ' recommended methods of installation, and is well versed in reading blueprints . ) <br /> B . Design modifications may be made only as necessary to meet field conditions and <br /> only as acceptable to Landscape Architect . Piping shown on plans is <br /> diagrammatically routed for clarity - route to avoid conflict with specimen plants <br /> and adjust as necessary to accommodate landscape construction . <br /> C . Contractor shall be responsible for verification at the site of all conditions and <br /> dimensions shown on the plans prior to commencement of work. <br /> 2B = 1 <br />
