Such <br />bills and accounts being on file in the office,of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants <br />so issued from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book as provided <br />by the rules of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being <br />made a part of these minutes. <br />The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and dis- <br />bursements of the various funds, which have been audited, were found to be correct. <br />There being no further business, on motion,made, seconded and carried, the <br />Board thgn-.adjdurnW.'-1: '. <br />ATTEST: <br />CHAAI RMA <br />TUESDAX. DECEMBER 21, 1954 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at the Courthouse <br />at Vero Beach, Indian River.County, in a special meeting at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Tuesday, <br />December 21, 1954, with the following members present: Commissioners W, C. Graves, Jr., <br />Chairman,.Aubrey L. Uaddell, J. J. P. Hamilton, H. C..Watts, and Allison Marren. Also <br />present were E. E. Carter, Road & Bridge Superintendent, Sherman N. Smith, Jr., Attorney and. <br />Douglas Baker, Clerk. <br />. Chairman Graves.announced this meeting was called for the purpose of selecting <br />the clerks and inspectors -of the several voting precincts of the County to hold and conduct <br />the Special General Election to be held Tuesday. January 11th, 1955, and any other business <br />that might be properly brought before this Board. <br />The Secretary of State having certified the candidates for National and State <br />.office to this Board, it was ordered that the following named persons be placed on the <br />official Special General Election ballot of Indian River County for the Special General <br />,Election to be held Tuesday January 11, 1955, for the offices designated. <br />Conaressman for Representative in Congress. 6th Congressional District <br />Paul G. Rogers - Democratic <br />Hollis,A. Hart - Republican <br />11 <br />Upon Motion of Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner VladdelL,and <br />carried, the Board instructed the Clerk to have the ballots prepared for the election to <br />be held Tuesday, January 11, 1955, and the said ballots to include the Office of Congressman <br />for Representative in Congress, 6th Congressional District and to include the name of Paul <br />G. Rogers as a Democratic nominee, and the name of -Hollis A. Hart,.as a Republican -nominee, <br />and that a blank space be included for the name or names of right in candidates, as provided <br />by law. <br />
