0 <br />1 <br />11 <br />11 <br />ft <br />One of the angles to be investigated will be the possibility of using the old <br />hospital building an the Vero Beach air base as the county home. <br />Mrs. Evelyn DeKold and Polly Wagner presented a plat of Sunnyland's S/D which <br />would not meet the existing plat requirements and specifications. <br />Commissioners Waddell and Warren together with Road & Bridge Superintendent <br />Carter and ,Attorney Smith, were .appointe,d as a committee to look into the matter with authority <br />to act. <br />Troy E. Moody, Tax Collector appeared before the Board and reported that his <br />safe had been broken into and robbed sometime during the weekend of February 5, 6 and 7, but that <br />he did not know the specific time of the robbery. Mr. Moody stated that he knew the amount <br />of the loss but preferred that Mr. Fred Ballou, State Auditor, provide this information to the <br />Board in that he had audited the records. S. N. Smith, Jr., Attorney was requested to write <br />the Attorney General for an opinion as to the tax collectors loss. <br />l " Chairman Graves stated an addition for the Sunshine Center i& slated to get <br />under way soon and it was pointed out that the Board had agreed to provide two acres of land <br />for this project, however, as yet no specific description of the said two acres had been <br />determined and that this should be done. Therefore, the Board requested Road & Bridge Super- <br />intendent E. E. Carter to provide the legal description. <br />It was reported that Billy Richard Harrison,.age 11, drowned in a small lake <br />in Rivenbark.'s Subdivision just South of .Vero Beach city limits, Attorney S. N. Smitg, <br />Jr., were appointed a committee regarding the Porhorsky property and said committee was <br />requested to contact the Methodist Church regarding same to see if someone was available who <br />might be appointed guardian so the county could sell the Porhorsky property, which they <br />supervise and hold a mortgage on. <br />At the request of Charles C. Jewett, City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner <br />Warren, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and carried, that an easement be granted the City <br />by the County for the installation of the Brae Burn Park sewer system force main, and that the <br />property in question is described as follows: <br />The East 50' of the NWY4 of the NEy of Section 11, Township 33 S., <br />Range 39 E, and that the 50' dimension is taken from the center <br />of 16th Ave which is the West boundary of Brae Burn Park. <br />S. N. Smith, Jr., Attorney was requested to prepare a resolution and an easement. <br />
