' SECTION 00800 - SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS TO THE GENERAL CONDITIONS ' SC - 1 . 00 Introduction These Supplementary Conditions amend or supplement the Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract ( No . 1910-8 , 1996 Edition ) and other provisions of the Contract Documents as indicated below . All provisions , which are not so amended or supplemented , ' remain in full force and effect . The terms used in these Supplementary Conditions will have the meanings indicated in the General Conditions . SC -1 . 01 Defined Terms SC- 1 . 01 . A. 20 . Add the following language at the end of GC- 1 . 01 . C . Delete paragraph GC 2. 05. 0 in its entirety and insert the following paragraph in its place: C . Evidence of Insurance: CONTRACTOR shall not commence work under this Contract until he has obtained all insurance required under Article 5 and such ' insurance has been delivered to the OWNER and approved by the OWNER , nor shall the CONTRACTOR allow any Subcontractor to commence work on his subcontract until all similar insurance required of the Subcontractor has been so obtained and approved . All such insurance shall remain in effect until final payment and at all times thereafter when CONTRACTOR may be correcting , removing or replacing defective Work in accordance with Article 13 . ' SC -2 . 06 Preconstruction Conference SC-2 . 06 Delete paragraph GC-2. 06. A in its entirety and insert the following paragraph in its place : A . Immediately after awarding the contract , but before the CONTRACTOR begins work , the Engineer will call a preconstruction conference at a place the ENGINEER designates to establish an understanding among the parties as to the work and to discuss schedules referred to in paragraph 2 . 05 . 13 , procedures for handling Shop Drawings and other submittals , and maintaining required records .
