0386-Technical Specifications <br /> material shall be piled in an orderly manner so as not to endanger the work <br /> ' or obstruct roadways or drainage within the designated job site location. <br /> All excavated unsuitable material shall be disposed of off-site at the <br /> Contractor' s expense. All excavated suitable material that is not reused by <br /> ' the Contractor within the job site shall become the property of the Owner <br /> and shall be stockpiled in the area designated in the Plans . <br /> ' 4 , DEWATERING <br /> A. The Contractor shall choose the method(s) of excavation which he deems <br /> ' most appropriate . Dewatering is not required by the Owner, however if <br /> the Contractor chooses to dewater, then water from said dewatering shall <br /> be disposed of in a manner that will not result in violations of State water <br /> ' quality standards in receiving waters, nor cause injury to public health nor <br /> to public or private property, nor to the work completed or in progress . <br /> Any and all damage caused by dewatering shall be promptly repaired by <br /> ' the Contractor at no cost to the Owner. The receiving point for water from <br /> said operation shall be approved by the applicable regulatory agency and <br /> the Engineer. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining all required <br /> permits and any other approval necessary. <br /> ' 50 REMOVAL OF UNSUITABLE MATERIAL <br /> A* The excavated material to be stockpiled will be used by Owner in the <br /> future to backfill ditches . As such, the material may contain muck, rock, <br /> ' clay, marl, gravel, boulders , organic soils , strippings and other soils . <br /> Be Excavated_ material that will be used to backfill ditches and construct the <br /> ' new service road must meet specifications as defined in Section 02203 , <br /> Backfill and Rough Grading. <br /> ' C . Any "unforeseen obstacles" such as abandoned utilities, metal objects , <br /> concrete masses , rubbish, or any other debris encountered shall be <br /> removed and disposed of off-site by the contractor at his expense . <br /> Excavated or exposed irrigation pipes and lines shall also be removed and <br /> disposed of off- site by the Contractor at his expense . <br /> ' <br /> D . Excavated large roots , stumps , logs , buried trees , limbs and timbers shall <br /> be piled in burn areas as designated in the Plans . <br /> ' <br /> E .
