<br />WHEREAS, this Board conferred with the State Road department concerning the
<br />p'ojeet:s to be selected and.the specifications with respect thereto,
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT The State Road Department is hereby requeste
<br />to use such funds for construction (including rights of way acquisition, surveys, maintenance,
<br />,
<br />etc,.) of the following reads: -
<br />1. The South Winter Beach Road -from State Road 505 East to State Road 59*
<br />"! a distance of approximately 2.6 miles, and, State Road 505A, or King's Highway, from the North
<br />Relief Canal of the Indian River Farms Drainage District, North to State Road 508, or North
<br />Winter Beach Read, a distance of 1.75 miles.
<br />2. Glendale Road from Lateral B, or State Road 505A, East to State.Road S, a
<br />distance of 3.8. miles.
<br />3. State Road 606, or Oslo Road, from Lateral B. or State Road 505A, East
<br />to State Road 5, a distance of 3.25 miles.
<br />!' 4. The Roseland Road from the Town of Roseland Southwesterly to State Road
<br />512, a distance of 4 miles,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the methods and standards employed by the State
<br />Road Department for determination of major improvement features, including the.types and
<br />widths of pavement, and the Department's standard specifications for construction are concurred
<br />in and approved by this Board*. It is requested4 That the Department will consider the pro-
<br />jects in the order listed above insofar as practicable, but not of the extent of retarding the
<br />whole program; that the termini of the projects as described in the resolution and shown on
<br />the accompanying map, rather than any estimate of funds therefor, shall control the Depart-
<br />ment's allocation of funds; that this resolution shall remain in effect throughout the year;
<br />and that after the current year the recommendations of this resolution shall constitute a
<br />continuing improvement program for the County, unless changed by a subsequent annual resolution
<br />Upon being duly seconded by Commissioner Hamilton, the foregoing Resolution
<br />was unanimously adopted.
<br />The Board•proceeded'to and did name and select the following persons as Clerk
<br />and Inspectors of the several voting precincts of the County to hold and conduct the first
<br />LPrimary Election to be held May 8, 1956, as follows:
