Pursuant to the foregoing Notice Requesting Bids, the following bids were <br />received: <br />Concrete - 2000 psi ) Russell Concrete ) k <br />Concrete - 2500 psi ) Rinker Vero Corporation ) Identical bids <br />Concrete - Permalite ) ry <br />,q <br />Reinforced Steel - 14 dia. through 3/4" dia.) <br />6 x 6 910 Mesh ) Lindsley Lumber low bidder on both of these <br />Steeltex - Crosby Builders, low bidder. <br />8x8xl6 Conc. Blk. - Russell Concrete & Rinker Vero - identical bids <br />8x8xl6 Column Blk.) Russell Concrete & Rinker Vero and Standard Concrete all three <br />8x8xl6 D Blks. ) had identical bids on these. <br />4x8xl6 Partition Blks. - Standard Concrete Co. was low bidder on thise <br />Face Brick ) <br />Rocklath ) Crosby Builders only bidder on these items. <br />Metal Lath 3.44 ) <br />Fibered Plaster ) <br />Steel Bar Joists - Rinker Concrete - low bidder <br />Millwork - did not receive a complete bid on this. <br />Windows, Glass & Glazing - not complete. <br />No complete bid on the balance. <br />items. <br />After considerable discussion, it was decided to take the low bidder on all <br />Mr. H. E. Kjorswick presented a deed to the county for a right of way for <br />U. S. 91 -through his property. Said deed was accepted and the Board directed the Clerk to <br />pay $374.85 to Mr. Kjorswick for his deed. <br />o�Sherman N. Smith, Jr. and E. E. Carter were requested to work out a Resolution <br />setting forth specifications for roads in new subdivisions. <br />Ed Cartet was requested to look into the matter of putting a shed on the Health'' <br />Center Building for the,canvenience of the public taking their children in for shots and to P <br />report back to the Board as to cost, etc. <br />Ed Carter was authorized to advertise for bids for materials needed for the J <br />next six months, <br />Ali <br />Upon Motion of Commission Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner Watts and carried,`I <br />it was decided that the County would pay the monthly rent charges but not toll charges for <br />the civil defense telephone bill. <br />E. E. Carter stated that Fred R. Tuerk was desirous of continuing Oslo Road <br />mest for two miles where it would connect in with the new Toll road. He stated that Mr. <br />Tuerk would authorize the work done and pay for all work on same if it was agreeable with <br />the County. The Board was agreeable to this suggestion. <br />Mrs. Anne Christensen, County Welfare Case Worker, appeared before the Board <br />and gave her report for the month of May, and same was ordered filed with the Clerk. <br />Colony. <br />Mrs. Christensen also stated that Gary Roberts was to be admitted to'the Farm <br />Upon Motion of Commissioner Warren, seconded by Commissioner 11adde11 and <br />1 <br />1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />carried, the Board agreed to pay $80.00 per month toward the payment of help to be obtained ?� <br />k, • <br />for Mrs. B. T. Redstone f'or the care of her daughter, Charlotte. <br />
