2-5 <br />Mrs. Christensen also told the Board about a new ruling by the State that <br />any welfare patient being in a Boarding home for over a year and owning property would not <br />i <br />be eligible for a,State Welfare Pension. After considerable discussion it was decided that <br />Sherman N. Smith, Jr., Attorney, should prepare the necessary papers to start foreclosure <br />proceedings against Mrs. Porhorsky's property. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton <br />and carried the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />L.0lY <br />1 <br />WHEREAS, Fellsmere Development Corporation, a Florida corporation, has requeste <br />this board to permit its construction of gates across certain County roads hereinafter de- <br />p scribed; and, <br />WHEREAS, this board has determined that the County roads upon which such gates <br />will be erected are for the benefit of lands owned by the said applicant or lands owned by <br />�h affiliated or associated corporations or individuals, all of whom consent thereto; and, <br />WHEREAS, this board has determined that, in its opinion, the placing of gates <br />across the County roads as hereinafter provided will not necessarily interfere with the public <br />travel; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />I Florida, that the said Fellsmere Development Corporation, a Florida corporation, is herewith <br />i <br />granted a permit to construct and maintain gates across the following County roads in Indian <br />River County, Florida, to -wit: <br />1. Across the County road paralleling Ditch No. 1 at Lateral U, as shown upon <br />i <br />the plat of Fellsmere Farms Company, <br />2. The County road paralleling Ditch No. 12 at Lateral U, as above set forth. <br />9 <br />3. The County road paralleling Ditch 23 at Lateral U, as above set forth. <br />4. The County road paralleling Ditch No. 31 at Lateral U, as above set forth. <br />5. The County road paralleling Ditch No. 34 at Lateral U, as above set forth; <br />and, <br />j. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Oates may be maintained in order that the <br />same may be opened and closed by the general public or the same may be maintained by lock in <br />• order that passage through the same can be made during daylight hours by those having lawful <br />business thereon by obtaining the key to be kept at the office and/or sugar mill of the <br />Fellsmere Sugar Producers Association. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner Warren <br />and carried, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />R E S 0 L UT 1 0 N <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />j Florida, that this Board does herewith find and determine as follows: <br />is <br />ij <br />1. That Elizabeth Hansen has filed a Petition before this Board on the 1st <br />• day of May, 1956, at a meeting of said Board, requesting this Board to adopt a resolution clos <br />ing, vacating and abolishing the public roads, streets, alleys, parks and rights-of-way <br />located on the plat of Winter Beach Estates as recorded in Plat Book 1, page 49, Indian River <br />" County public records, as it pertains to the following described land situated in Indian River' <br />i,' I <br />
