0 <br />1 <br />1 <br />C� <br />11 <br />1 <br />9 <br />Based on the results•of this survey, it is the opinion of this agency that this subdivision <br />is not suitable for the use of septic tanks and conventional tile draintielats as a method <br />of sewage disposal, due to the variable and unshitable soil characteristics and the relative- <br />ly impervious rock formation underlying the area at varying depths. It is the opinion of <br />this agency that the only satisfactory method of sewage disposal for this subdivision is a <br />sanitary sewage collection system with adequate treatment. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Charles E. Cook, Chief <br />Environmental Sanitation <br />Section <br />cc: Board of County Commissioners <br />Indian River CHD <br />Mr. Graves stated that the Federal Government would take a special census <br />in Indian River County for approximately $3,175.00. After considerable discussion in the <br />matter and upon Motion of Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner Watts and carried <br />the Board decided to have the census taken. <br />Mr. Carter, Road and Bridge Superintendent, stated that metal signs and posts <br />had been ordered for each dump and would be put up as soon as received. <br />The following Resolution was introduced by Commissioner Waddell, who moved <br />its adoption as follows, to -wit: <br />a E S 0 L U T I O N --- Item to Item Transfers <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida <br />has receipted funds in excess of the anticipated funds budgeted in the budget for said county <br />for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1956, and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board has determined that an emergency exists requiring appro- <br />priation of said excess receipts dureing the present fiscal year; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, that this board does herewith tentatively budget said excess receipts and their <br />expenditure in the form of a proposed supplemental budget for said fiscal year as follows, <br />to -wit: <br />EXCESS RECEIPTS <br />Race Track Funds <br />F_XPENDITURES <br />422. Maintenance of Equipment <br />431. Road, Bridge G Culvert <br />and, <br />l s m mit 11 <br />TOTAL <br />m <br />$16,000.00 <br />$16,000.00 <br />TO <br />$6,000.00 <br />10.000.00 <br />$16,000.00 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a statement summarizing the above proposed supple- <br />mental budget shall be published by the Clerk one time in a newspaper of general circulation <br />published in the:County stating that this board will hold a public hearing regarding said <br />proposed supplemental budget at a meeting of this board to be held at 9:00 o'clock A. M. on <br />August 7, 1956. <br />Upon being duly seconded by Commissioner Watts the foregoing Resolution was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />
