<br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner latts and
<br />carried, The.Board OKIed.sending Aubrey L. Waddell and E. E. Carter to the State Association
<br />of County Commissioner's meeting with the State Road Board in Tallahassee on August 10th.
<br />Members of the County Planning and Zoning Commission with Robert W. Graves as
<br />Chairman appeared before the Board and after considerable discussion in the matter came to -a
<br />decision as follows: "The Indian River County Zoning Commission presented its preliminary-.
<br />report to the Board with respect to its preliminary recommendations as to the boundaries of
<br />and the regulations and restrictions to be applied to the various districts of the territory
<br />of Indian River County not.included in any municipality and providing for zoning thereof uhder
<br />ip
<br />the provisions of Chapter 21310, Laws of Florida, kkets of 1941. Said preliminary report was
<br />received and tentatively approved by the Board and said Zoning Commission was directed to hold
<br />fits public hearing thereon and thereafter to submit its final report to the Board."

<br />A Mrs. Anne Christensen, County Welfare Case Worker, appeared before the Board
<br />and gave a report of her activities for the month of July. Said report was ordered filed with
<br />Douglas Baker, Clerk, as provided by law.
<br />Mrs. Christensen also brought it to the attention of the Commissioners that they
<br />had no place to store welfare clothing. The Board asked Sherman N. Smith, Jr. and Mrs. Chris-
<br />,'jtensen to work together to find such a place, preferably in the City of Vero Beach.
<br />The Board requested Sherman N. Smith, Jr. to notify the State Road Bepartment
<br />l to amend the Secondary Road Construction Resolution in order that 16th Avenue be repaired
<br />u
<br />11extending from Clemann Ave. to State Road 95, instead of reading from Emerson Ave to Mate Road
