The following Notary Public Bonds were approved by Douglas Baker, Clerk as <br />°I <br />provided by law: <br />Gail Gene Graham in the amount of $500.00 with Hartford Indemnity Company as surety. <br />Robert F. Henderson in the amount of $500.00 with American Surety Company of New <br />York as surety. <br />W. Harrison Iles in the amount of $500.00 with St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Co <br />as surety. <br />Theodora B. Connell in the amount of $500.00 with American Surety Company as surety. <br />Upon Motion of Commissioner Watts, seconded by Commissioner McCullers, and <br />carried, public hearing was ordered on the following petition of William L. Bidlingmayer. <br />PETITION -- For Vacation of County Road <br />To: The Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, Florida <br />Gentlemen: <br />Oswald L. Helseth and Ila E. Helseth, his wife, conveyed certain lands to Indian <br />River County, Florida, by deed dated November 10, 1954, recorded in Deed Book 91, page 493. <br />This conveyance consisted of a strip of land 60 feet wide across certain property in Section <br />30, Township 33 South, Range 40 East, as follows: <br />1. 30 feet on either side of the centerline of the Southeast quarter of the <br />Southeast quarter. <br />2. 30 feet on either side of the centerline of the Northeas t quarter of the <br />Northeas t quarter. <br />3. 30 feet on either side of the centerline of the North 8 chains of the Southeast <br />quarter of the Northeast quarter. <br />It is our understanding that no formal acceptance of this conveyance was ever made <br />on behalf of the County and it is a fact that the road has never been opened up or established <br />on the ground. <br />We own all of the property on both sides described in the above road at the South <br />end. We would like this South end of this road abandoned and closed. We therefore request <br />tha t the Board of County Commissioners adopt a Resolution closing, vacating and abandoning <br />that part of the road described in the above deed as follows: <br />All that part of that certain road described in Deed Book 91, page 493, <br />in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian River County., <br />Florida, that lies South of the South line of the North 10 acres of the <br />Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter in Section 31, Township 33 <br />South, Range 40 Ea st, and ALSO, <br />All tha t portion of said above described road over, on and across the <br />North 8 chains of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of <br />Section 31, Townsh#33 South, Range 40 East. <br />We have built our home on this property and intend to use and develop it as a whole. <br />The South end of this road, which is the part we ask you to abandon, serves no one except us <br />and the property we own and we see no necessity for it remaining a public road. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />_S7 William L.
