Indian River County Traffic Engineering Department to prepare the plans in accordance <br /> with agency design criteria and requirements . <br /> The signal design will include improvements to the controller and controller peripherals , <br /> phasing and initial timings, cabinet location, electrical service, detector amplifiers, loops <br /> and lead- ins, conduit, cabling, pulling boxes , vehicular signal displays, and pedestrian <br /> displays and detector stations , if appropriate . The plans will also show the overhead <br /> signing, ground signing, and pavement marking modifications associated with the signal <br /> installation . The plans will be furnished in reproducible form on half size sheets drawn to <br /> a scale of 1 " = 40 ' , and will include topography, known utilities (above and below <br /> ground) , rights-of-way, design of proposed improvements, general notes , pole schedule, <br /> and any special detail sheets required . Construction Plans will be prepared in CADD <br /> format utilizing I V x 17 " plan sheets . <br /> The ENGINEER will prepare and submit the Signalization Plans package to meet Indian <br /> River County requirements . As part of the Plans package , the Consultant will design the <br /> structural details and perform pole and foundation structural calculations for the mast-arm <br /> configurations to be included on the project . The ENGINEER will submit the structural <br /> designs in FDOT format as part of the Signal Plan submittals . <br /> We will retain the services of a Geotechnical Engineer to aid in the mast-arm foundation <br /> design . The Geotechnical Investigation will consist of exploration of the subsurface <br /> conditions of the intersections employing two (2) , 30- foot deep Standard Penetration Test <br /> ( SPT) borings . It is assumed that adequate right-of-way exists to execute the field work <br /> required by the truck mounted equipment. <br /> Selected soil samples will be tested for moisture content, organic content and percent fines . <br /> The test results will aid in classifying the soils in accordance with the Unified Soil <br /> Classification System (UCSC) and evaluating suitability. <br /> Determination of soil parameters (i . e . , unit weight, friction angle and cohesion) , an <br /> estimated wet season water table level and recommendations for drilled shaft construction <br /> for use in design of drilled shaft foundations . <br /> A brief written report which furnishes findings and recommendation will be provided . <br /> " SECTION V — COMPENSATION" is being modified to incorporate the following : <br /> The COUNTY agrees to pay and the ENGINEER agrees to accept for services rendered pursuant <br /> to this Agreement fees inclusive of expenses in accordance with the following : <br /> A.
