- - 7 _o6 <br /> INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT .2d� 07V <br /> CR-510 AND US HIGHWAY I <br /> AMENDMENT NO . 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING <br /> GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING & LAND SURVEYING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN McMAHON ASSOCIATES, INC . & INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br /> This is an amendment to the existing Professional Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Land <br /> Surveying Services Agreement (AGREEMENT) dated May 17 , 2005 , between McMahon Associates, Inc. <br /> (ENGINEER) and Indian River County (COUNTY) . This amendment addresses changes in "Section I — Project <br /> Limits and Description", "Section II — County Obligations", "Section III — Scope of Services", "Section IV — Time <br /> for Completion" and "Section V — Compensation' of this AGREEMENT. <br /> "SECTION I - PROJECT LIMITS AND DESCRIPTION" is being modified to incorporate the following: <br /> Consultant services are required for the preparation of' supplemental design survey, right-of-way maps, <br /> parcel sketches, and legal descriptions, subsurface geotechnical investigations, roadway design plans, signing and <br /> marking plans, signalization plans, and permit applications associated with the design of improvements extending <br /> both west and east of the intersection of SR-5/US- 1 and CR-510 (Wabasso Road), from the present contract limits in <br /> Indian River County, Florida. The roadway improvements identified by the COUNTY consist of the following: <br /> Countv Road 510 Widening <br /> CR-510 will be widened to a four-lane cross-section from the current intersection limits, west to 61 " Drive <br /> (Lows Avenue), and from the current intersection limits, east to the lower bridge crossing the Indian River Lagoon. <br /> Along the Wabasso Scrub Conservation Area, widening is anticipated to be accomplished on the south side with an <br /> anticipated right-of-way width of 130 feet. In conjunction with the improvements to CR-510 , the following <br /> improvements are proposed to the bisecting side streets: <br /> • 59ih Avenue — Proposed paved apron on south approach with no median opening. <br /> • 58'x' Cour( — Proposed paved apron on south approach with no median opening. <br /> • 58°i Avenue/Kings FIighway — Design the south leg to accommodate an exclusive left-tum lane, a <br /> shared lett-through lane, and an exclusive right-tum lane. The left-tum lane on CR-510 to southbound <br /> 58" Avenue may be widened to a dual left-tum lane. For purposes of this proposal , this has been <br /> considered. Proposed paved apron on the north approach. Intersection improvements shall include <br /> mast arm signalization components. Approximately 2 ,640 linear feet of improvement. <br /> • 55i ' Avenue - Proposed paved apron on north approach with a median opening and left turn/u-tuns <br /> lanes on CR-510. <br />
