Bench scale and pilot plant scale testing to determine membrane performance will no <br /> t b <br /> performed as part of this amendment. CDM will utilize full scale operating plant data ine <br /> conjunction with reasonably conservative design criteria in the final design of the Phase <br /> II build-out improvements . <br /> 3 . The existing facilities must remain in service during construction of the herein described <br /> Phase II improvements. Construction will be phased to incorporate the two new 1 .5 mgd <br /> nanofiltration skids in the existing process bay first followed by the four new skids in <br /> the new process bay . CDM will endeavor to have the contractor maintain current flows <br /> at the plant throughout construction. <br /> The primary intent of this effort is to provide Contract Documents suitable for obtam' <br /> ag <br /> construction bids (one contract) for the NCWTP. The provided Contract Documents <br /> incorporate the scope of services provided in Work Authorization No . 1 and this amendment. <br /> All Phase II improvements will be designed as requested by IRC and will be limited to <br /> improvements within the site perimeter fencing. <br /> In general the new or modified facilities under this amendment include the followingitems : <br /> PPY Ym <br /> Raw Water Supply S ste <br /> ■ Add three additional 2 . 14 mgd upper Floridian aquifer production wells (including <br /> meters, telemetry, well pumps, etc . ) . (TO BE DONE BY OTHERS) <br /> ■ Add new raw water system supply piping from the new wells to the existing system or <br /> process building. Piping outside fence or offsite to be done by others . <br /> Pretreatment System <br /> ■ Add two new 2 mgd (each) horizontal cartridge filter housings in the new process bay . <br /> ■ Add two (or one larger) new horizontal cartridge filter housings for the bypass/ blend <br /> line to replace the existing vertical cartridge filter housing. <br /> Membrane Process and Administration Building <br /> ■ Add an additional three 1 . 5 mgd permeate capacity nanofiltration skids in the new <br /> membrane processing building with local instruments and controls . <br /> ■ Add one additional Auxiliary Generator Power unit in the new electrical building sized <br /> to provide adequate power to run half of the treatment plant loads at build-out. <br /> Post-Treatment System <br /> ■ Add one additional degasifier unit, identical to existing degasifier unit, on top of the <br /> new expanded clearwell structure. <br /> ■ Add one new two-stage odor control scrubber unit to treat the off-gas from the two new <br /> degasifiers located on top of the new expanded clearwell structure . <br /> ■ Replace the existing single stage odor control scrubber with a two-stage unit. <br /> B-2 <br /> Mh208O. doc <br />
