■ Evaluate blower requirements for the new two-stage odor control scrubbers and adjust <br /> equipment accordingly . <br /> ■ Evaluate blow down rates of the two-stage odor control scrubbers and adjust the design <br /> assumptions of the blow down lift station accordingly. <br /> Bulk Chemical Storage Area/ Systems <br /> ■ Upgrade chemical metering pumps to handle all new skids being installed . <br /> ■ Evaluate piping connections in small and large piping diagrams to connect to build-out <br /> conditions . <br /> Hypochlorite System <br /> ■ Expand existing bulk storage capabilities including the installation of additional <br /> structures and tankage to the north of the existing storage building. <br /> ■ Add new bulk sodium hypochlorite storage tanks in existing structure . <br /> ■ Upgrade existing feed pumps . <br /> Instrumentation and Control System <br /> ■ Expand the existing and proposed control systems with additional I/ O cards and <br /> software to control and monitor functions of the additional process equipment specified <br /> to increase the treatment plant capacity to build-out. (Instrumentation Programming by <br /> Others) <br /> TASK 1 . 0 PRELIMINARY DESIGN <br /> This task provides for the update of the Preliminary Design Report, which was prepared by <br /> CDM in December 2004 . The specific purpose of this review will be to review/ revise the <br /> previously assumed design criteria based on the expanded scope of services described in this <br /> amendment. The update will also incorporate design preferences of IRC and will be critical to <br /> complete the permitting process . <br /> Specific products of this task include draft and final Preliminary Design Report Update and <br /> Preliminary Site Plan Approvals . <br /> Subtask 1 . 1 Preliminary Design Report Update <br /> CDM will provide the following services related to the review of the existing <br /> Preliminary Design Report prepared by CDM in December 2004 : <br /> A . Conduct a review workshop with IRC staff to obtain comments on the Phase II <br /> Preliminary Design Report and desired changes to design criteria and/ or new <br /> design preferences to complete the build-out of the project. <br /> B . Prepare and submit five copies of a revised draft Preliminary Design Report <br /> Update to IRC for review. Update will include narrative related to maintaining <br /> operations at the current facility while constructing the new facilities .
