Amendment No. 3 to <br /> 43`d Avenue Roadway and Drainage Improvements <br /> Professional Engineering Services Agreement <br /> 3 . The ENGINEER will prepare parcel sketches and legal descriptions as an <br /> optional service, as requested by the COUNTY, under a unit price allowance. <br /> B . Preliminary (60% Design) Plans <br /> The ENGINEER will prepare and submit preliminary (60% design) plans to the <br /> COUNTY for review and comment. The COUNTY will provide review comments in <br /> writing to the ENGINEER. The ENGINEER will meet with the COUNTY to <br /> discuss the COUNTY' S review comments (if required) and the ENGINEER will <br /> provide written responses to the COUNTY ' S comments. The ENGINEER will <br /> incorporate the COUNTY ' S review comments into the design drawings, where <br /> applicable. Preliminary plans shall be prepared to include : <br /> 1 . Typical Sections : The ENGINEER will revise the previous typical <br /> pavement section for 43`d Avenue to provide double 11 -foot wide travel lanes <br /> in each direction, a center median, one-foot wide paved shoulders, two-foot <br /> wide buffer strips, and four-foot wide sidewalks on both sides, as per the <br /> Board approved "Option IA" for constrained right-of-way. <br /> 2 . Plan and Profile Views : The ENGINEER will revise the previously prepared <br /> plan and profile sheets from 8`h to 18`h Streets to provide left tum lanes and <br /> U-turn bump-outs at 9`h Place/ 10t1, Street and 13 `h Place/14t ' Street, and left <br /> and right tum lanes and U-turn bump-outs at the 8`h, 12`1,, and 16°i Street <br /> intersections. Plan views will show the geometric roadway layout, including <br /> side streets, driveways, and sidewalks. The profiles will include the existing <br /> and proposed centerline elevations of the pavement, east and west limits of <br /> the existing pavement, the existing and proposed utility lines, and the existing <br /> and proposed drainage pipes and structures . <br /> 3 . Signing and Marking Plans : The ENGINEER will revise the previously <br /> prepared signing and marking sheets from 8t" to 18`h Streets, as appropriate to <br /> accommodate the revised roadway design, and to add StreetPrint (simulated <br /> pavers stamped in asphalt) in the left turn lanes at intersections and median <br /> openings, and stamped concrete on the median nosings . <br /> 4 . Signalization Plans : The ENGINEER (through a sub-consultant) will revise <br /> the previously prepared signalization plans at the 81h, 12`h, and 16`h Street/43`d <br /> Avenue intersections to provide mast-arm signals in lieu of the current span- <br /> wire designs. <br /> 5 . Stormwater Management System : The ENGINEER will revise the <br /> previously prepared stormwater management system design to provide main- <br /> line piping on both sides of the roadway from 12`h to 16`h Streets, to convey <br /> the runoff to two new stormwater ponds (one on each side of 43`d Ave) with <br /> traditional control structures and outfall pipes to the 1RFWCD canals. The <br /> ENGINEER will preserve the existing stormwater management system <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br />
