4. Utility Subsurface Locates
The ENGINEER will locate horizontally and vertically subsurface utilities, only for those
utilities owned and operated by Indian River County, at conflicts with the proposed storm
sewer facilities, proposed signalization mast arms, proposed reclaimed water main, and
proposed stub-outs for reclaimed water, potable water and sanitary sewer force main.
Additional design services will include the following tasks:
a. Survey the horizontal and vertical location at each subsurface utility location for conflicts
with the proposed storm sewer facilities and the proposed signalization mast arms.
b. Perform approximately 77 subsurface utility locations using air/vacuum method at the
conflicts with the proposed reclaimed water main stub-outs, proposed potable water main
stub-outs and proposed sanitary sewer force main stub-outs with existing subsurface
utilities owned and operated by Indian River County.
c. Survey the horizontal and vertical location at each subsurface utility location for conflicts
with the proposed reclaimed water main, proposed reuse main stub-outs, potable water
main stub-outs and proposed sanitary sewer force main stub-outs.
d. At times, and due to the location of the utility subsurface locates, maintenance of traffic
(MOT) may be required.
L. Cure Plans
1 . Develop Cure Plans
The ENGINEER shall prepare Cure Plans to assist the COUNTY in coordinating the purchase
of necessary right-of-way for the project. The Cure Plans will be an illustrative exhibit
detailing the features of the property, the proposed right-of-way, and the impacts of the project
on the property.
The ENGINEER shall prepare up to two (2) alternative possibilities for each impacted
property . The alternatives could address modified property access, parking spaces, building
adjustments, drainage, etc. The ENGINEER will coordinate with the COUNTY for the
information detailed on the plans, the time to complete, and the hourly staff hour estimate, per
each, to complete. Generally, property data, such as acreage, building square feet, number of
spaces, right-of-way, etc., will be included and quantified as `before' and `after', on the plans
for each alternative.
6
