Indian River County <br /> Emergency Operations Center Turner <br /> GMP Summary <br /> Qualifications & Assumptions <br /> 24 The Construction Manager will engage Turner Logistics LLC for technical supply chain <br /> management services to competitively bid , purchase , expedite , and manage the delivery <br /> of major equipment and material . By doing so , multiple mark-ups from subcontractors <br /> and distributors ( historically averaging 20 to 25%) will be avoided . Turner Logistics Cost <br /> of Services (COS ) shall be reimbursed at the rate of 10% for all such equipment and <br /> material purchased through this additional service . Historically this results in net savings <br /> to the Owner of 10% to 15% . Turner Logistics compensation (including all equipment , <br /> material , applicable taxes and Logistics' COS] shall be based on the approved GMP value <br /> submitted . The cost of services along with applicable taxes shall be included in the GMP <br /> proposal . This equipment will also be part of the Owner Direct Purchase Program , <br /> providing further savings to the Owner. <br /> Bid Package 2 Sitework <br /> Specifications : <br /> 1 Civil specification sections were not provided . Notes on the drawings are acknowledged <br /> as specifications . <br /> Drawings : <br /> 1 Vertical header curbs are not included . The only curb include in the GMP is 32 If of Type <br /> F curb. These curbs occur at the entry gates . <br /> 2 A thickened edge is not included at the sidewalk areas . It is assumed that the sidewalk <br /> will be flush with the paving . <br /> 3 The scope of work includes installation of water meter. The water meter is to be furnished <br /> by the Owner. <br /> 4 The site is assumed to be a balanced site . No export or import of soil is included . <br /> 5 Wheel stops are included at all parking spaces . <br /> 6 No work is included for modifications to the conveyance swale . The GMP does not <br /> include any concrete sidewalks adjacent to 43rd Avenue . It is assumed that this work is <br /> included in IRC Public Works Project 0236 for improvements to 43rd Avenue . <br /> Bid Package 2a Fences and Gates <br /> Specifications : <br /> 1 The GMP is based on 2" x 9 gage galvanized wire fabric and 2" schedule 40 galvanized <br /> line posts space at 10'0" on center. <br /> 2 All key pads , card readers , and remote devices for gate operators are furnished and <br /> installed by the owner. <br /> Drawings : <br /> 1 The GMP is based upon the fence at the west end of the site being existing . <br /> Bid Package 2c Landscaping <br /> Page 3 <br />
