1 <br />R E S 0 L U T I 0 N -- Amended Budget <br />The following resolution was introduced by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., secondedN <br />by Commissioner Ro_:,ert Graves and unanimously carried. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners did receiver. and examine and tentatively <br />adopt a proposed budget of excess receipts and their expenditures for the fiscal year ending <br />September 30, 1957; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board did cause a summary statement thereof to be advertised one <br />time in a newspaper of general circulation published in Indian River County, Florida, to -wit: <br />In the issue of July 25, 1957 of the Vero Beach Press Journal as will more fully appear by <br />proof of publication thereof filed in the minutes of this Board; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board did meet at the time and place stated in said advertisement <br />for the purpose of hearing requests and complaints of the public regarding said Supplemental <br />Budget and for the purpose of holding a public hearing and making whatever revisions in the <br />budget it may deem necessary; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida does herewith tentatively adopt said Supplemental Budget for the fiscal year <br />ending September 30, 1957 in the form heretofore tentatively adopted and duly advertised. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Supplemental Budget shall be filed in the <br />office of the County Auditor as a public record and the Clerk hereof shall transmit two <br />copies of the Supplemental Budget as adopted to the Comptroller of the State of Florida and <br />said Supplemental Budget shall be considered as finally adopted and official upon approval <br />as to form by the Comptroller. <br />Ed Schmucker, County Superintendent of Roads stated that in repairing the Fellsmerel <br />Road, the State Road Department did not repair the portion requested by us which was the re- <br />surfacing of State Road 512 from the East limits of the City of Fellsmere West to Broadway <br />a distance of approximately 2,700,1eet, and that the State Road Department had expended <br />the $5,000.00 set aside for this by repairing the North portion. He further stated that <br />the portion from the East -limits of the City of Fellsmere West to Broadway should be re- <br />surfaced. The Board requested Mr. Schmucker contact Swords Bros. McDougal and see how much <br />it would cost for them to resurface same. <br />The County Attorney stated there should be a member of the Board of County Comm- <br />issioners appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Indian River County Law Library. Upon <br />motion made by Commissioner W-. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and carried, <br />Commissioner J. J. P. Hamilton was appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Indian River <br />County Law Library. <br />The County Attorney stated that he had contacted the State Road Department with <br />j regard to making a traffic survey on the Roseland Road and said they were unable to make <br />such survey by reason of this road being a County road and not a State road. <br />
