Given under my hand and seal this the 15th day of October, in the year AD 1957. <br />Homer C. Fletcher <br />Assessor of Taxes, Indian River 1 <br />County. <br />The committee consisting of Commissioners W. C. Graves, Jr., and Robert Graves gave <br />their report on Hospitalization and recommended the County keep their Blue Cross -Blue Shield <br />Insurance. Upon motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers <br />and unanimously carried, the Board decided to keep the Blue Cross, Blue Shield Insurance. <br />Buck Vocelle and Larry Finegan appeared before the Board requesting a site for <br />the American Legion Fair. Upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Robert <br />.i <br />Graves and unanimously carried, the County grants to the American Legion, Felix Poppel Post <br />n <br />#39 the use of the South 20 acres of the Sa of SWk of NE'k of Section 11, Township 33 South, ° <br />Range 39 East, for the use by the Legion of this property as a site for public fair grounds "I <br />with the understanding that the County may terminate this lease at any time by giving the <br />Legion one year's notice of termination. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner Mac- <br />donald and unanimously carried, this Board goes on record that all the land now owned by the <br />County in Section 11, Township 33 South, Range 39 East not be sold but kept for the use of the,,1 <br />General Public. <br />Bud Holman appeared before the Board and requested that the work be done by the <br />County as per agreement made between Mr..- Holman and the County in 1947. Mr. Schmucker, <br />H <br />County Engineer sta ted that work had been started out there but the rains were holding them <br />up, but just as soon as they could they were going to finish it up. <br />Mr. Holman also stated that Commercial fishermen were taking fish out of Blue Cypress <br />Lake by the tons and asked the Commissioners to do whatever they could to prevent them taking <br />any more out. The Board asked Mr. Smith to write another letter to the Game & Fresh Water <br />Fish Commission requesting this lake be used by only rod & reel and pole fishermen, in other <br />words for sports fishing only. <br />Commissioner Robert Graves reported he had looked over the situation of a bridge <br />reques ted by Mr. Hogan and he recommends that said bridge be put in. The Board then re- <br />quested the County Engineer put this bridge in as soon as convenient. <br />Sherman N. Smith, Jr., County Attorney, read the following recommendations of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission to the Commissioners: <br />The Commission tentatively approves and recommends to the County Commissioners for <br />further consideration, the change in zoning of all of the area North of the North City <br />Limits of the City of Sebastian extending to a line 300 feet South of the Roseland Road, and <br />from the new right of way line of U. S. Highway #1 East to the Indian River, now Zoned R-3 <br />Transient District be changed to C-1 Commercial District. <br />The Commission tentatively approves and recommends to the County Commissioners for <br />0 <br />1 <br />1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />i <br />1 <br />1 <br />i <br />
