further consideration, achange in the Zoning Resolution of the County by adding a paragraph <br />thereto to read as follows: <br />• <br />"Any person desiring a change or amendment to the Zoning Resolution <br />or zoning map shall submit the same in writing to the Superintendent <br />of Public Roads describing by legal description and by street address, <br />where possible, the property to be affected by the proposed change, <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />O <br />setting forth the present zoning applicable thereto and specifying the <br />district, zone or use requested by the applicant. There shall be <br />at said time paid to the Superintendent of Public Roads for the account <br />of the County the sum of $50.00 for each such requested change, pro- <br />viding, however, that as many lots or parcels of property as the <br />applicant may desire may be included in any single petition provided <br />the same is one contiguous area. The Superintendent of Public Roads <br />shall then transmit the application to the Zoning Commission for ten- <br />tative consideration at its next meeting. Should the Zoning Commission <br />tentatively approve the petition, it shall report its tentative approval <br />to the County Commissioners and should the County Commissioners ten- <br />tatively approve the same, public hearings shall be had. Should either <br />the Zoning Commission or the County Commissioners upon their tentative <br />consideration disapprove the application and the applicant elect to <br />proceed no further, then the fee deposited with the County shall be <br />returned to the applicant; otherwise, the fee shall remain the property <br />of the County. Should public hearings be held, then in connection with <br />the publication of the notice for the public hearing before the Zoning <br />Commission the Superintendent of Public Roads shall mail a written <br />notice to all property owners owning property within 300 feet of the <br />outer limits of the area described in the petition requesting a change, <br />advising all such owners as shown bpon the last prepared and complete <br />Tax Assessmnt Roll of the County stating in simple terms the proposed <br />change and the time and place of the public hearing. The provisions <br />hereof providdng for mailing of notice is directory only and the failure <br />to mail such notice shall not affect any change or amendment to said <br />Zoning Resolution." <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner Robert <br />Graves and unanimously carried, the Board agrees that the tentative recommendation to this <br />Board made by the Planning and Zoning Commission as set forth in its minutes of October 4th <br />and 8th be tentatively approved and public hearing be held. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner W. C. Graves, <br />Jr., and unanimously carried, the Board agreed to pay Mr. I. R. James $900.00 for right of <br />way on U. S. #1, SRD #243. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Gra ves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner Mc - <br />f Cullers and unanimously carried, this Board reaffirms the former este blished policy of the <br />Board of County Commissioners, that expenses for trips of the Sheriff's office in returning <br />individuals from out of State to this County, be first cleared with the Board for its approval,N <br />which may be given by the Chairman, before such expense be charged to the County. <br />There being no further business, on Motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />the adjourned. <br />ATTEST: 01 <br />UMM <br />CHAIRMAN <br />A <br />5 <br />
