Sutherland representing certain property owners in.the <br />vicinity, thereupon on Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried, the County Engineer and County attorney were directed to <br />work with the parties concerned and further hearing on the matter was deferred until the <br />next regular meeting of the Board. <br />Major Keaton of the Civil Air Patrol appeared before the Board and explained the <br />work of the Civil Air Patrol and requested some financial help toward buying two UHF radio <br />units for the Civil Air Patrol. The Board informed Major Keaton that they were unable to help' <br />them financially at the present time but if they could see their way clear in the future to <br />give them such help they would be glad to do so. <br />The Chairman stated that in regard to the recommendations of the Zoning Commission <br />brought before the Board of County Commissioners at their last meeting that all members had <br />gone over the proposed zoning changes on the ground and asked the pleasure of the Board om <br />said recommendations. Upon Motion made by Commissioner Robert Graves, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />RESOLUTION -- Zoning Changes <br />WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of Indian River County, Florida, did after public <br />hearing make its final report recommending changes and additions to the Zoning Resolution of <br />Indian River County, Florida; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board did publish its notice of said recommended changes and additions <br />and did, pursuant thereto, hold a public hearing in relation thereto, at which parties in <br />interest and citizens were heard; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />that the Zoning Resolution of Indian River County, Florida, and the accompanying Zoning map, <br />be changed as follows, to -wit: <br />1. That the R -1-A, Country Home District, be extended South from the center of the <br />Roseland Road approximately 410 feet to the South line of the Old Hight property and from the <br />Old Dixie Highway, East to the Indian River. <br />2. That the C-1, Commercial District, cover the area from the North line of River - <br />view Subdivision South to the North line of the City of Sebastian and from a line 150 feet <br />East of the O1d.Dixie Highway, East to the Indian River. <br />3. That the area from the R -1-A, County Home District, mentioned in Paragraph 1 <br />above South to the North line of Riverview Subdivision and from a line 150 feet East of the <br />f <br />Old Dixie Highway, East to the Indian River, remain R-3, Transient District. <br />4. That all of the remaining area North of the North City Limits of the City of <br />Sebastian extending to a line approximately 410 feet South from the center of the Roseland <br />Road and from the new right of way line of U. S. Highway No. 1 East to the Indian River not <br />encompassed in paragraphs numbered 1, 2 and 3 above, be zoned R-2, Single Family District. <br />5. That the Zoning Resolution be changed in order that there be added at the end <br />thereof a paragraph to read as follows: <br />".,Z/ <br />
