ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY UTILITIES DEPARTMENT <br /> OPERATIONS CENTER COMPLEX <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> This Scope of Services covers work to be performed by the Brown and Caldwell consultant team <br /> (BC Team) for the Indian River County (IRC) Utilities Department related to the planning, design, <br /> permitting, and construction of a new Operations Center for the County ' s water and wastewater <br /> utility system . Included is all on-site engineering, architecture and landscape architecture services <br /> required to complete the project, including surveying, subsurface explorations, and other <br /> environmental surveys and investigations needed for site plan and permit approval . This Scope of <br /> Services, however, does not include any off-site work such as utility extensions, roadway <br /> improvements, since these improvements cannot be defined at the present time. <br /> The on-site work included in this Scope of Services has been broken down into a series of eight (8) <br /> primary work elements, or tasks. A brief description of the work to be performed under each task is <br /> presented below : <br /> TASK 1 — PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br /> 1 . Work Order Administration - Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements with <br /> subconsultants . Monitor the progress of work on the project against budget and schedule <br /> targets . Provide monthly status reports to Indian River County as documentation <br /> accompanying invoices for work performed . Coordinate the efforts of all BC Team <br /> members with weekly meetings and/or conference calls . <br /> 2 . Project Management Plan - Prepare a Project Management Plan for the project, identifying <br /> the roles of the various members of the BC Team and their specific scopes of work, a project <br /> staffing plan, a communications plan, a QA/QC plan, and other procedural information <br /> relevant to work on the project . <br /> 3 . Project Review Meetings - Conduct project review meetings at regular intervals with <br /> Utilities Department staff. The first meeting will be a project kick-off meeting to review the <br /> objectives of the project and the scope, schedule and budget for completion of work . It is <br /> anticipated that subsequent meetings will be held at approximately monthly intervals <br /> thereafter to review the status of work in progress, to resolve any outstanding issues, and to <br /> provide County staff with the opportunity to have input into the project as it proceeds to <br /> completion . <br />
