<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, met at the Courthouse,
<br />Vero Beach, Florida in a regular meeting held at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Tuesday, August 5, 1955.
<br />All members were present. Also present were E. S. Schmucker, County Engineer, Charles Smith,
<br />sitting in for Sherman Smith, Jr., Attorney and Katherine Morrison, Secretary.
<br />The Chairman asked if there were any changes or additions to be made to the minutes
<br />of July 1st regular meeting, and July 15 and 25th special meetings. There were none and
<br />upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner McCullers and
<br />unanimously carried, the minutes were approved as read.
<br />Homer Fletcher, Tax Assessor appeared before the Board and requested that he be
<br />allowed to amend his budget to include new equipment he has to have and more personnel for
<br />his office. Upon Motion made by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Commissioner
<br />McCullers and unanimously carried, the Board granted Mr. Fletcher permission to amend his bud-
<br />get for more equipment and additional personnel.
