The Commissioners agreed they would like to purchase these lots and <br />requested Mr. Norman give them time to have an appraisal made before making a definite de- • <br />cision. Vocelle, as Chairman of the Indian River County, Democratic Executive <br />Committee, do hereby certify that at a Special Called Meeting of said Democratic Executive <br />Committee, on the 16th day of October, 1958, a quorum being present, that there existing a <br />vacancy in the unexpired term of County Judge of Indian River County, Florida, and the Demo- <br />cra tic Executive Committee having the inherent right, power and duty to certify a name to <br />appear upon the General Election Ballot, to be held November 4, 1958, therefore it was re- <br />solved: <br />1. That the Democratic Executive Committee does hereby certify the name of Miles <br />B. Mank, II, as its nominee, to appear upon the General Election Ballot, as Democratic Can- <br />didate for County Judge of Indian River County, Florida, said General Election to be held on <br />November 4, 1958. <br />2. That upon Miles B. Mank, II, duly qualifying, as required by law, and duly <br />paying the party assessment as required by law, that his name be certified upon the General <br />Election Ballot as Democratic Candidate for the office of County Judge of Indian River County.' <br />L.
