<br />Dr. Wade N. Stephens, Director of the Bureau of Local Health Services appeared before)
<br />the Board and stated that Brevard County has grown so large that they wish to become an
<br />independent Health Unit. Heretofore they have been a two -county Unit with Osceola County.
<br />Dr. Stephens suggests that Indian River County and Osceola County form a two -county Unit. He
<br />stated he was going to visit each of the other counties involved and we could let him know
<br />later what we thought about join�,ng Osceola County as a two -county Unit.

<br />The Chairman read the foregoing Notice of Bid for an Addressograph Machine and bids
<br />were opened. Only one bid was received and that from the Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation.
<br />;Their bid was for one New Addressograph Machine in the amount of $1843.20 or One Addressograph
<br />,Machine, Factory Reconditioned in the amount of $1215.20. After some discussion in the matter
<br />sand upon Motion made by Commissioner Robert Graves, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and
<br />"unanimously carried, the Board approved the purchase of the Factory Reconditioned Addressograph
<br />;Machine in the amount of $1215.20.,`'
<br />The Board requested the County Engineer to work with the State Road Department and
<br />k see if we could get cross -overs at all cross roads now on the ground along the new U.S. #1
<br />alignment from Wabasso to Vero Beach.
