The Board authorized the <br />County Engineer to see about getting this work done as soon as he could move the necessary <br />equipment into that area. <br />Commissioner Hamilton further stated he had been contacted by Mr. and Mrs. John W. <br />Gribble and that she had had her house moved off the new U.S. #1 right of way at a cost to her <br />of $200.00 and that she would like to have at least a part of this reimbursed to her. Upon <br />Motion made by Commissioner Ma cdonald, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and carried, the <br />Board authorized reimbursing Mr. and Mrs. John 'W. Gribble in the amount of $100.00 as they <br />felt this is about what it would have cost had the county moved said house. <br />The County Engineer requested a raise in salary of $25.00 a month beginning the first <br />of April. After some discussion in the matter the Board pointed out to Mr. Schmucker that <br />the budget would have to be revised and that he should bring this matter up at the time next <br />year's budget is being considered and they would consider it at that time. <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined <br />and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such bills and <br />accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants so issued <br />from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book as provided by the <br />rules of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a <br />part of these minutes. <br />The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and disbursements <br />of the various funds, which have bean audited, were found to be correct. <br />There being no further business, on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />then adjourned. <br />ATTEST: <br />TUESDAY, April 21, 1959 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, met at the Courthouse, <br />Vero Beach, Florida in a regular meeting held. at 9:00 o'clock A. M., Tuesday, April 21, 1959. <br />All members were present. Also present were Ed Schmucker, County Engineer, Sherman N. Smith, <br />Jr., Attorney and Katherine Morrison, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman announced they would dispense with the reading of the minutes until <br />the next meeting. <br />Homer Fletcher, Tax Assessor, appeared before the Board and asked permission to <br />close his office in the afternoons until the 1959 tax roll has been completed and presented <br />to the Board of Equalization, subject to the approval of the Board of County Commissioners <br />add with proper notice being given to the public.
