Teacher to student ratios will be 1 :4 (birth- 12 <br /> Resources centers during the 2006-2007 school months), 1 :6 ( 13-24 months), 1 : 8 (25-36 months), <br /> year as measured by: teacher-student ratios, staff and 1 : 10 (37 months to kindergarten). Childcare Resources, with the cooperation of <br /> the PTEP, will provide at least three training <br /> opportunities for center staff. Center Directors <br /> will provide a minimum of two training <br /> opportunities for their staff. <br /> 3d. All Center teachers will obtain the 40-hour <br /> certificate in early childhood education before <br /> working in the classroom. All lead teachers will <br /> obtain their CDA certificate before working in the <br /> classroom. <br /> 3e. Community Preschool, Learning Nest, Tiny <br /> Treasures, Nanny' s, Maitland Farm, Turner' s II <br /> and SunCoast will maintain NAEYC <br /> accreditation. Turner' s I has begun the <br /> reaccreditation process having re-opened their <br /> facility in January 2006. <br /> 4. Childcare Resources parents will maintain 4a. All parents will attend a fall Childcare <br /> 100% compliance in all areas of required parent Resources orientation or participate in an <br /> participation during the 2006-2007 school year as individual session, and their respective center <br /> measured by the parent participation log. orientation. <br /> 4b. All pre-school parents will attend fall and <br /> spring parent/teacher conferences. <br /> Infant/toddler teachers will communicate on a <br /> daily basis to parents through a written daily <br /> report and personally with the parent at pickup. <br /> A formal parent/teacher conference will be held <br /> when a toddler is transitioned into the preschool <br /> program. <br /> 4c. All parents will attend a minimum of three <br /> parent participations sponsored by Childcare <br /> Resources, another collaborating agency, or a <br /> Childcare Resources center. Parents will have <br /> many opportunities from which to choose. <br /> Centers will submit documentation of parent <br /> participations on a form provided by the FRC . <br /> 9 <br />
