u <br />1 <br />Irl <br />11 <br />1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />LJ <br />WHEREAS, the bard of County Commissioners has received such complaints and such <br />testimony offered, if any, and has examined and reviewed said assessment roll and has found <br />it unnecessary to increase the valuation of any property shown thereon and has found such <br />assessment roll to be correct; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida <br />does herewith find the tax assessment roll of said County as presented for the year 1959 to be <br />equal and just and does herewith approve, ratify and confirm the same. <br />Upon motion, made seconded, and carried, the Beard then adjourned sitting as a <br />Board of Equalization, then reconvened in special session. <br />Mr. Frank Hibbs, and others appeared before the Board and requested that the County <br />pave a street through the middle of Lake Park S/D, said street being known as Oak Lane and <br />is approximately one-half mile long. They stated this is a through street serving people <br />going from Walker Ave. to Redd 60. <br />After considerable discussion in the matter and upon Motion made by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and carried, the Board tabled this matter until <br />such time as this Board could consider this and other similar paving requests. <br />There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />then adjourned. <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERX <br />W I I NO d It � F-. a —' <br />y <br />L T <br />TUESDAY, JULY 28, 1959. <br />A special meeting was held with members of the Vero Beach City Council.. Said <br />meeting convening at 10:30 A. M. The Mayor of Vero Beach suggested a formation of fire <br />districts in the county so that the County as a whole would be better served and further <br />to better distribute the burden of cost to the tax payers. After some discussion in the <br />matter, Robert Graves, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners appointed a committee <br />from the Board to serve with a committee appointed by the City consisting of Commissioners <br />Macdonald, McCullers and Dr. B. Q. Waddell and also our Attorney, Sherman N. Smith, Jr., The <br />City stated they would notify us of their appointments to such a committee at a later date. <br />An informal discussion was held regarding an ordinance passed by the City pertaining <br />to Subdivision in and around the City of Vero Beach. The Board requested the City to send <br />us copies of this ordinance for study before any action could be taken. <br />There being no further business, the meeting then adjourned. <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK <br />i <br />
