ATTACHMENT 1 TO WORK ORDER CT- 3 — PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> WABASSO BEACH PARK RESTORATION <br /> 1 . INTRODUCTION <br /> In September 2004 , Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne severely damaged Wabasso Beach Park ( Park) ; <br /> the storms destroyed the boardwalk , restroom , pavilions and portions of the parking area and roadway <br /> within the Park . Under prior authorization the CONSULTANT provided design and permitting services <br /> to provide for restoration of the Park (Project) as related to paving , grading , boardwalk , water service , <br /> sewer, beach access stairs , ADA ramp and associated improvements . The work under this Work Order <br /> provides for construction phase services in support of overall Construction Contract Administration and <br /> day-to-day construction observations to be performed by the COUNTY. Construction is expected to <br /> require about 210 calendar days . <br /> Services are proposed under the Continuing Contract Agreement for Professional Services between <br /> COUNTY and CONSULTANT, dated December 13 , 2005 . CONSULTANT shall sub-contract Task 1 <br /> water and sewer related services to Carter Associates , Inc . (CAI ) . The following describes the work to <br /> be performed : <br /> 2 . SCOPE <br /> TASK 1 — CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES — WATER & SEWER <br /> In general , CONSULTANT , through its ' subcontractor , Carter and Associates , will provide <br /> construction phase services relative to the water & sewer improvements . CONSULTANT will : <br /> Task 1a - Project Administration <br /> A . Project Management . Regularly confer with the COUNTY and Contractor to monitor the progress <br /> of construction . <br /> B . Administrative Services . Provide services such as : word processing ; filing ; mailing ; reproduction ; <br /> and deliveries to document and support Task 1 services . <br /> Task 1 b — Basic Engineering Services <br /> A . Construction Administration . Provide clarification via responses to Contractor' s RFI requests if <br /> answers are not clearly identified in Contract Documents . Draft , review , comment and document up to <br /> 2 Contract Change Orders . <br /> B . Shop Drawinq Review . Review and mark up water and sewer shop drawings for conformance to <br /> permitted plans and specifications . Forward copies to IRCUD for review , comment and reply . <br /> C . Final Certifications . Upon completion of engineering "As- Built' drawings (see Task le) and receipt <br /> of required Contractor submittals , file completion certifications to : Florida DOT , Florida DEP water <br /> and wastewater , and IRC Utility Department . File completion checklist with attachments to IRC <br /> Utilities and assist Public Works to obtain IRCUD completion certificate . <br /> Task 1c — Monthly Site Observations/Contractor Pay Application Review <br /> 2 of 6 <br />
