Im <br />The.Chairman said he would like to see the trucks from the West <br />routed around Vero Beach and after some discussion and upon Motion made <br />by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Macdonald; and unaai <br />mously carried the Board requested the Attorney ask the State Road Department <br />make a feasability traffic* survey for rerouting all truck traffic coming <br />from Tampa going North be routed via King's Highway and .South Gifford Road, <br />and traffic from Tampa going South be routed via King's Highway and Glendale <br />Road, and that traffic from U. S. #1 going to the center of the State be <br />routed the same. (This is the change as ordered at Meeting of March 1, 1960.) <br />Mrs.,Anne Christensen, Welfare Case Worker gave a report of her <br />activities for the month of January. She also informed the Board that <br />the payment to Charlotte'Atkin should be reduced from $100.00•to $51.75 <br />starting the first of March. <br />A letter from Roland Miller was read requesting this Board pass a <br />resolution and request the Corps of Engineers to deny the request of <br />John J. Lloyd for a chain ferry across the Sebastian Inlet. No action <br />was taken. <br />The County Engineer stated we had some houses to be moved off the <br />right of way some he thought should be destroyed and others that could <br />be sold for the materials or to be moved off the property. After going <br />over the list and upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and.unanimously carried, the Board ordered the <br />following houses destroyed: <br />SRD #2 - Campbell <br />SRD #3 - Jungworth <br />SRD #30 - Powell <br />SRD 419R - Colley <br />and further ordered the following to be put up for bids to be removed <br />from the property: <br />SRD #24 - Walter Jackson <br />SRD #55 - Eddie McGriff <br />SRD #164 - Gerhard Hans Facklam <br />SRD #110 - Walter Arnold <br />A letter was read from Indian River County Contractors Association <br />requesting the Board oppose any effort to bring some houses from Miami <br />in to Indian River County. No action was taken. <br />
